Should Anker SOLIX Smart Generator 5500 be turned off when not in use for a long time?

That depends on your setup:

- Standalone Use: Switch the generator to the "OFF" position. After a full charge, the starter battery can remain on standby for up to 24 hours. For extended periods of non-use, turning it off prevents power loss.

- Used with Anker SOLIX E10: There's no need to turn off the generator. The connected E10 will keep the generator's starter battery sufficiently charged for electric start.
