If the expansion battery is stored at a low capacity for a long time, lithium batteries will self-consume power which may lead to depletion of its life and a quick discharge. This often leads to poor conductivity and a reduced battery lifespan that causes the battery not to work.
When storing your expansion battery, please make sure that you:
-
Turn off all the outputs.
-
Store the expansion battery in a dry and cool environment. The ideal storage temperature for most batteries, including lithium, is 59°F (15°C). Temperatures dipping down at or close to 32°F (0°C) cause a slow-down in the chemical reactions inside of the cell, resulting in a loss in the capacity of the battery
-
Check the remaining battery capacity each week. If only 2 LED lights are on, the battery level is below 30%. Please charge the expansion battery to full.
-
If the power station will not be used for an extended period, ensure to fully charge it to 100% at least once every three months.
