Currently, eufySecurity device’s sound detection feature distinguishes between All sound and Crying sound. If the user’s eufySecurity device has the sound detection feature, it is able to detect sound in addition to motion and send a notification to the user once the device detects sound in the surrounding area. The sound detection working logic depends on the decibel (dB) of the noise detected, and the user can configure sound detection on the eufy app by going to Camera Settings > Sound Detection > Select All sound or Crying > Adjust the sensitivity level.
Additionally, the higher the sound detection sensitivity is set to, the lower the decibel (dB) is needed to trigger an event.
Note: External factors, such as white noise machines, may impact the effectiveness of the sound detection feature.
Currently, the following eufySecurity devices have the sound detection feature:
- Wired Cam series: IndoorCam 2K Pan & Tilt, IndoorCam 1080p Pan & Tilt, IndoorCam 2K, IndoorCam 1080p, IndoorCam Mini and OutdoorCam, OutdoorCam Pro.
- SpaceView Baby Monitor series: SpaceView Baby Monitor, SpaceView S Baby Monitor, 720P Video Baby Monitor and SpaceView Pro Baby Monitor.
