Is the HomeBase included in the eufyCam 2 Pro system?
Yes, the HomeBase is included in the eufyCam 2 Pro two-camera kit system.
Can I use my pan and tilt indoor cameras with this HomeBase?

Can I connect the different models of cameras to the same HomeBase 2?

What is the difference between eufyCam 2 and eufyCam 2 Pro?
The main difference between eufyCam 2 and eufyCam 2 Pro is the resolution. The resolution of the eufyCam 2 Pro is 2K, while the resolution of eufyCam 2 is 1080P.
What’s the operating temperature of your camera?
The operation temperature for the cameras is -4° to 122°F (-20° C to 50° C).
My Wi-Fi uses 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz. Will this work with both?
No. eufySecurity devices only work with 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi networks. Learn more from Requirements for Using eufySecurity Devices.
Can these cameras pick up activity through screens and windows?
We are sorry that these cameras can't pick up activity through screens and windows.
If someone steals the camera, do they have GPS in them?
No, the cameras do not have internal GPS tracking.

Does eufyCam 2 Pro support HomeKit?
Yes. eufyCam 2, eufyCam 2C, eufyCam 2 Pro and eufyCam 2C Pro support Homekit integration.
App Setup
How far away from the HomeBase can the camera be placed?
20-30ft. The actual range will vary depending on a number of factors such as the thickness of walls, obstacles inside the house, and the location of HomeBase.
After setup, can you disable Internet access to the HomeBase and access most features (video access, alerts) via local Wi-Fi?
No. The HomeBase must have Internet access for you to see videos or Livestream.
Can the HomeBase be a Wi-Fi extender? Or does it need wired Ethernet connection?
Yes. The HomeBase can be a Wi-Fi extender and can be 50ft from the WI-Fi router. For more information, please refer to Connect the HomeBase 2 to Wi-Fi.
What is the range of motion detection and recognizable recordings?
The motion sensor can detect objects lateral moving up to 25-30ft (8-10m) away.
Can I speak through the camera or just the doorbell?
eufyCam series also support two-way talking.
Can I see a live view from my phone, whenever I want or whenever I am away from home?
Yes. As long as the system is connected to the Internet and working properly, you should be able to see live view remotely when your phone is connected to the Internet as well.
Can animal motion detection as well as humans be enabled on the eufyCam 2 Pro camera?
Sorry that the eufyCam 2 Pro camera does not have animal detection. The eufyCam 2 Pro has two detection types: Human detection and All motion.
Does it produce an alarm when it detects a motion?
You are able to set it in the eufy App via Security Mode to enable the HomeBase alarm when motion is detected.
I noticed an anti-theft alarm setting. What exactly does that do?
When you enable this function and install the eufyCam system well, you will receive an alarm notification on your phone and HomeBase will alarm when someone moves your cameras.
How loud is the siren?
The siren will be 100 dB.
Does this camera record continuously or just alert movements?
It does not record continuously but motion detection.
Does the camera have a buffer to show what occurred a few seconds prior to motion notification?
We are sorry that the camera doesn't have a buffer to show what occurred a few seconds prior to motion notification.
How long is the recorded clip?
The default clip is 20 seconds but you can modify it to 60 seconds or up to 120 seconds in the customized power management settings.
How many cameras can one HomeBase allow?
Up to 16 cameras(including doorbells) and 16 sensors.
Does this system have facial recognition like other eufyCam products?
It has AI facial detection, but it can't support AI facial recognition. Learn more about AI Features for eufySecurity Devices.
Hardware Installation
How does it attach to the wall? Can it be attached to a gutter?
It can be mounted to the wall via the outdoor mount and it can be attached to a gutter.
How do you change the battery?
We are sorry that the battery can't be changeable, but it can be rechargeable via USB cable or eufy solar panel.
Is it 365-day battery life or 180-day battery life?
eufyCam 2 Pro has a 365-day battery life.
