The human body and face detection is a machine learning AI algorithm. Sometimes it may not be able to detect a person correctly due to low light, or when a person is moving too fast or is too far away. In this case, you can try the following tips.
1. If you have set an Activity Zone, please ensure that the zone you have drawn covers the entire range of interest. Sometimes, the user sets an Activity Zone that is too small or incomplete. The images below will show the correct and incorrect ways of drawing your Activity Zone.
2. You may have your Sensitivity level set too low. Manually increase the sensitivity level and trigger times appropriately. (Device Tab>"..." icon> Gear icon>Motion Detection > Sensitivity Level)
3. Adjust the doorbell field of view: If there is a big view of a wall in the doorbell’s field of view, please use 15° brackets (two brackets can be stacked). If you need a larger degree mounting wedge, please contact us for more information.
Note: Tuning the Motion Detection setting is a trial-and-error process as the doorbell views are different from user to user. If you could not get it to work, please contact us and provide a snapshot of the doorbell view and the Motion Detection settings for us to further assist you.
