This is actually based on the requirement of the Android system. 

 

For Android 6.0+, due to its internal policy, users must turn on location services so Android&#39;s system will allow our scale to pair to users&#39; phone via Bluetooth. Otherwise, the pairing process will fail. 

 

Please be assured your data will not be exposed to third parties without your permission with the location services turned on.
