When pairing the floodlight to the router, you will need to press the floodlight camera’s Sync button for at least two seconds until you hear a beep. Then the floodlight camera will connect to the router. In some cases, the floodlight camera may fail to pair to the router.
To help you troubleshoot it, please read the following steps.
1. Floodlight camera only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Please check if you were connecting it to 5GHz Wi-Fi.
2. Please double-check if you have entered the correct Wi-Fi name and password.
3. Some homes may have 2 network devices set up, for example, one is the ISP provided Internet gateway/modem and the other is a router purchased separately. During the setup process, please make sure your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi router that the floodlight camera is connected to.
4. Please check if you have set a firewall or whitelist on the router. If yes, please add the floodlight camera to the router’s firewall or whitelist.
5. Your phone should not be connected to your Guest Wi-Fi network, if one is available. The LAN port is not dedicated for a set-top box.
6. Floodlight camera might take up to one minute to boot up. Please wait until the LED on the floodlight camera turns from red to white.
7. Make sure you press and hold the Sync button located at the top of the floodlight camera until you hear a beep.
Note: The first step during the setup process in the app will ask you to scan the QR code when pairing the floodlight camera. If there is no QR code on the floodlight camera, please select “No QR code on the device” and follow the instructions in the app to add the floodlight camera.
