Please be aware that although the eufyCam E40's integrated solar panel continuously charges the battery, the camera continues to draw power while in operation. As a result, if the battery drains quicker than the solar panel can recharge it, the battery percentage display will indicate that the camera is not fully charged.
Please refer to the following common causes and their corresponding troubleshooting steps:
-
The camera's integrated solar panel is not receiving adequate sunlight.
-
The best location for mounting a camera is in direct sunlight. In this scenario, it is recommended to adjust the installation location accordingly to ensure the solar panel receives adequate sunlight.
-
Please note that environmental factors, such as weather conditions, will also directly impact the charging efficiency of the camera's integrated solar panel, which needs direct sunlight to ensure its optimal charging performance.
-
The camera triggers excessive false detection alerts that rapidly drain the battery.
-
Choose “Optimal Battery Life” in the Power Manager settings.
-
Reduce the sensitivity level for motion detection in the Motion Detection settings.
-
If you need the camera to only detect movement related to people, choose “Human Only” in the Motion Detection settings.
-
Use the Activity Zone feature in the app to set up zones that focus on monitoring your areas of interest rather than the entire camera’s field of view.
