What should I do if my X8 Series RoboVac fails to return to the charging base?

First, please run a quick test to determine if the issue is due to the location of the charging base or the RoboVac X8: 

Place the RoboVac right in front of the charging base within 6 feet away with its front bumper facing toward the charging base, then press the home button and observe if the RoboVac can successfully return to its charging base. Meanwhile, please make sure the location of the charging base icon is shown correctly on the map. If the charging base is shifted at any time while the RoboVac is cleaning, it will affect the RoboVac's ability to return to the charging base.

 

* If the RoboVac still fails to return to the charging base, please send us a video showing what it does.

 

* If the RoboVac is able to successfully return to the charging base, then the RoboVac is functioning normally and the issue may be due to the location of the charging base

 

If it is the second scenario, could you please send us a picture of the charging base surroundings and place the charging base at other locations by following the suggestions below?

 

- Make sure to start the vacuum from the charging base. 

- Make sure to install the charging base against a wall and at a location that is easily accessible. Remove obstacles within 1m/3ft to the right and left side and 2m/6ft from the front, if possible. There is also a sticker on the bottom of the charging base and it is recommended to use the sticker to affix the base on the floor to prevent it from shifting.

 

- Verify there are no objects in black color around the charging base. If the base is located on a carpet, try placing it on hard floors and start the vacuum from the new location on the base.

-Make sure the charging pins on both the charging base and bottom of the machine are clean.

 

If none of the suggestions were able to resolve your issue, please try resetting the current map and restarting the machine from the charging base to create a new map to verify if the machine is able to successfully return to the charging base without issues.

 

If the steps listed in this article did not resolve your issue, please enable the "Activity Log Upload" feature (What-s-the-Log-Upload-feature-in-the-Eufyhome-App ), then run the vacuum for 1 or 2 times and contact us for further help.
