If you are unable to update the firmware on your eufyCam E40, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
-
Please check the LED indicator on the HomeBase 2/HomeBase S380.
-
If the LED indicator displays a solid blue light, please restart the HomeBase 2/HomeBase S380 by disconnecting and reconnecting the power adapter cable.
-
If the LED indicator displays a red light, please wait approximately five minutes for the HomeBase 2/HomeBase S380 to reboot. If the LED indicator still shows a red light after five minutes, please check that the Ethernet cable is firmly connected and ensure that your router has Internet access.
-
Ensure the camera is placed near the HomeBase 2/HomeBase S380, at a distance of 2m-8m, but at least 20cm away from the HomeBase.
-
Please check the LED indicator on the camera.
-
If the LED indicator displays a flashing red and blue light alternately, it means that the camera is currently updating its firmware. Generally, it takes approximately five minutes for the camera to complete the firmware update.
-
If the LED indicator is off, please press the SYNC button on the camera and check the camera's status.
-
If the LED indicator flashes a blue light once, it means that the camera is powered on.
-
If the LED indicator flashes a red light, it means that the camera's battery is running low and needs to be recharged. After charging the camera, try to update the firmware by launching the app and going to Camera Settings > General > About Device > Check for firmware update.
