Generally, eufy RoboVac can automatically return to the charging base after it finishes its cleaning cycle to recharge. However, please note the RoboVac will have to start its cleaning cycle on the charging base and the RoboVac cannot be manually moved during its cleaning cycle.
If your RoboVac cannot return to the charging base properly, please run a quick test to determine if the issue is due to the location of the charging base or the RoboVac L70 first: Place the RoboVac right in front of the charging base within 4.9 ft/1.5 m away from the charging base with its front bumper facing toward the charging base, then press the home button and observe if the RoboVac can successfully return to its charging base.
- If the RoboVac still fails to return to the charging base, please send us a video showing what it does.
- If the RoboVac is able to successfully return to the charging base, then the docking function of the RoboVac works normally and the issue may be due to the location of the charging base.
If it is the second scenario, please send us a picture of the charging base surroundings and place the charging base at other locations by following the suggestions below:
- Please ensure that the RoboVac starts its cleaning cycle on the charging base.
- Make sure to install the charging base against a wall and at a location that is easily accessible. Remove obstacles within 1.6 ft/0.5 m to the right and left side and 4.9 ft/1.5 m from the front, if possible. There is also a sticker on the bottom of the charging base and it is recommended to use the sticker to affix the base on the floor to prevent it from shifting.
- Do not move the RoboVac or the charging base while the RoboVac is cleaning as this will affect RoboVac's ability to return to the charging base.
- Make sure the charging pins on both the charging base and the bottom of the RoboVac are clean.
- Verify there are no objects in black color near the charging base. If the charging base is placed on a carpet, try placing it on hard floors and start the vacuum from the new location on the charging base.
Additionally, if your RoboVac stops working before it returns to the charging base (such as losing power or emitting voice alerts), it will also fail to return to the charging base.
If your RoboVac loses power before it returns to the charging base, please try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Unplug the adapter on both ends, re-connect the adapter to the charging base and then reconnect the other end to a different wall outlet.
- Clean the pins on the charging base and on the bottom of the vacuum with a dry clean cloth.
- Re-charge the RoboVac for 6+ hours to verify if the issue can be resolved.
If your RoboVac emits voice alerts before it returns to the charging base, it indicates an error code has been triggered. Please troubleshoot the specific voice alerts according to the article.
