In most common scenarios, a fully charged Video Smart Lock can last for approximately four months. Please note that the test on eufy Video Smart Lock was done in the following environment:
- Lock/unlock 10 times per day.
- 10 motion detections per day.
- Recorded for 20 seconds each time a motion was detected.
- When the video motion detection and remote lock features are disabled to save power, eufy Video Smart Lock can continue working for approximtaely 30 days with low power.
Note: Battery life may vary depending on the number of times motion is detected, recording time duration, and environmental temperatures.
If your Video Smart Lock’s battery is discharging quickly, please try the following troubleshooting tips.
1. Please launch the eufy Security app > select your Video Smart Lock > Lock Settings > About Device > Check for firmware update, and then update the firmware on your Video Smart Lock if a new firmware version is available.
2. Please do not use any third-party plug-ins, clients, or scripts since they may be incompatible with eufy products, which could lead to a faster power consumption.
Note: Some devices do not support HomeKit, so using a HomeKit-associated script may also drain the device’s power quickly.
3. Choose the Balance Surveillance working mode by going to Devices > Settings > Power Manager > Balance Surveillance. In this mode, the power consumption of the battery will be reduced, but the Video Smart Lock may also miss some motion events.
4. Select "Human Only" instead of "All Motions" and decrease the motion sensitivity by going to Devices > Settings > Motion Detection.
5. Set up or narrow an Activity Zone to prevent the device from triggering false events by going to Devices > Settings > Motion Detection > Activity Zone.
