Troubleshoot eufy Doorbell Sound and Two Way Talk Issues

You Can't Hear Sound or Low Volume From Doorbell in App Side

1. Check if your doorbell’s microphone is turned on.

You can enable Audio Recording in the eufy app so that the doorbell will receive sound.

Steps in the app: Tap the Settings button on the doorbell device tab > Doorbell Settings > Audio Settings > Turn on Audio Recording.

If the voice is too low, please turn up the doorbell audio volume from minimum to max.

Steps in the app: Tap the Settings button on the doorbell device tab > Doorbell Settings > Audio Settings > Doorbell Audio Volume.

2. Disable Bluetooth and make sure the media and call volume on your phone are set to the maximum volume.

If you are using headphones or Bluetooth, please check if there is a sound when you disable the headset or Bluetooth. Turn up the volume as loud as possible.

3. For wired doorbells, switch off and on the power.

4. For battery doorbells, please press the Sync button for 10 seconds.

Warning: Save important videos before resetting the doorbell. This will reset your device and it will have to be set up again!

5. Manual Test

Please play live stream video and start recording manually, then tap the head of the doorbell to see if you can hear any sound in the video. If you don’t know how to record video manually, here is how.

Visitors Can't Hear You Speak, or There is an Audio Delay

The delay for two or three seconds when using two way talk is normal. If there is a significant delay or if visitors cannot hear you, please try the following tips:

1. Check if the doorbell’s WiFi connection is weak

Try to move the router (for wired doorbell) or the HomeBase (for battery doorbell) closer to the doorbell.

2. Disable Bluetooth and headphones.

If you are using headphones or Bluetooth for two way audio, please talk into the device directly.

3. Enable microphone in app permissions.

For iOS and Android users, please enable the microphone permission on the phone.

Steps in the app: Slide the three-lined slide menu > Settings > App permissions > Enable the microphone permissions.

4. Manual Test

Please play live stream video and start recording manually, then tap the head of the doorbell to see if you can hear any sound in the video. If you don’t know how to record video manually, here is how.

If the issue persists, please contact us and provide the result of the above troubleshooting.
