If you’re having trouble with the doorbell chime, try the following tips:
Your Doorbell Chime Doesn't Ring
1. Check the power outlet
If there is no light on the chime, you should check if there is electricity powering the chime. If the chime does not light up after changing the outlet when other electrical devices perform well, the chime might be defective. In this case, contact us for warranty replacement.
2. Check chime settings in the eufy app
The eufy app allows you to add chimes and control the alert switch. If you disable the Alert, then you will not hear any ringing sound from the chime anymore.
Here are the steps in the app: Tap the Setting button of Doorbell in Device tab > Doorbell Settings > Audio Setting > Chime Alert > Turn on the Chime Alert.
3. Check if the chime is connected with the doorbell
This will disable the ringing sound from the chime, but it will not affect the custom setting with buttons on the device. Check the light on the chime, if there's no light, that means your chime is powered off; if it’s flashing blue, that means your chime is disconnected from the doorbell, and you should reconnect it in the eufy app.
Here are steps in the app: Tap the Setting button of Doorbell in Device tab > Doorbell Settings > Indoor Chime > Connect.
4. Check if your doorbell is online/powered on
If the doorbell is offline due to power, the doorbell and chime will be disconnected. You can test the chime by pressing the doorbell’s button.
Your Doorbell Chime Sounds Weak
Find the volume button on the right side of the chime body and adjust the ringing volume.
Your Doorbell Chime Won't Stop Ringing
When the doorbell activates the chime to ring the sound, there might be something activating the doorbell repeatedly, please go to check the doorbell first.
If the chime rings automatically with no one presses the doorbell, please try the following:
1. Re-add the indoor chime in the eufy app
Here are steps in the app: Tap the Setting button of Doorbell in Device tab > Doorbell Settings > Indoor Chime > Connect.
2. Unplug the indoor chime
Unplug the indoor chime and leave it unplugged for a night, then plug it back in.
