How to Encourage Your Cat/Dog to Drink From a Water Fountain
1. Clean the water fountain before using it for the first time (especially the filter)
Before using the new eufy Pet Water Fountain for the first time, please clean the fountain with water and soap first. The filter also needs to be soaked under running warm water for 30 seconds before using it for the first time to remove the activated carbon particles on the surface of the filter.
2. Place the water fountain in your cat's usual play area for a few days
If your cat is afraid of the noise coming from the water fountain, please turn off the water fountain and do not run it for a few days. Please wait until your cat approaches the water fountain and tries to drink from the new water fountain first, and then you can turn on the water fountain for your cat.
3. Help your cat become familiar with the water fountain
Your cat may be too wary to approach the water fountain when you first set it up. In this situation, you can dip your finger into the water fountain and then bring it to your cat’s lips. This allows your cat to know there is water in the new water fountain.
