The Difference Between Auto, Room, Zone, and Spot Cleaning Modes of eufy Laser Robot Vacuum Cleaner

eufy laser robot vacuum cleaner models (except the L70 Hybrid model) support four main cleaning modes: Auto, Room, Zone, and Spot cleaning to meet the cleaning needs of different users.

In Auto cleaning mode, the robot vacuum cleaner is designed to comprehensively clean the entire area at once, covering all reachable places until either the battery needs to be recharged or the cleaning task is completed. This mode is designed to clean the entire area as efficiently as possible in one cleaning cycle to avoid repeated cleaning of the same area, thereby saving battery power and improving cleaning efficiency. Therefore, please note that Auto cleaning mode only supports cleaning the same area per cleaning cycle.

However, for specific modes such as Room cleaning, Zone cleaning, and Spot cleaning, the robot vacuum cleaner provides more flexibility. Users can set the robot vacuum cleaner to clean at specific times or locations or set the robot to clean the same area multiple times per cleaning cycle. These modes are generally used when a user needs to deep clean a certain area. If the robot vacuum cleaner is set to clean multiple times per cleaning cycle in one of these modes, the cleaning routes of the robot vacuum cleaner can intersect to ensure optimal cleaning results.

Specifically, the X8 Pro, X9 Pro, and L50/L60 Series and Omni C20 models support cleaning the same area up to two times per cleaning cycle in Room cleaning mode and in Zone cleaning mode. The X8 and L35 models support cleaning the same area up to two times per cleaning cycle in Room cleaning mode and cleaning the same area up to three times per cleaning cycle in Zone cleaning mode and Spot cleaning mode. The number that is located in the lower right corner of the cleaning mode(see the following screenshots) represents the number of times the robot will clean in a single cleaning cycle (x1, x2, or x3). You can flexibly adjust the number of times the robot will clean by clicking on the number.

In conclusion, the primary purpose of having various cleaning modes is to provide users with more choices and flexibility to meet different cleaning needs.
