S1 Series (S1 and S1 Pro) Mop-Drying Function FAQ

Q: Will the S1 and S1 Pro dry the mop if it only vacuums and doesn't mop?

A: If the robot is only set to vacuum, it will not dry the mop after completing its cleaning session. Please note that the Mop-drying function is initiated only after the robot completes a mopping session. However, if the robot ran in the mopping mode and the mop-drying process was previously interrupted, the robot would resume the mop-drying process after returning to the base station after the next cleaning session.

Q: What is the logic behind mop drying?

A:

  1. After running in the mopping mode, the robot will wash and dry the mop upon returning to the base station.

  2. If the robot ran in the mopping mode but the drying process was interrupted:

  • If the mop-drying process got interrupted for less than 30 minutes because the user started a vacuuming-only session, the robot would resume the mop-drying process after returning to the base station.

  • If the mop-drying process got interrupted for more than 30 minutes because the user started a vacuuming-only session, the robot would not resume the mop-drying process after returning to the base station.

  1. During the mop-drying process, if the robot is manually removed from the base station and then placed on the base station again:

  • If the robot's wheels do not leave the ground during the process, the robot will automatically continue drying the mop.

  • If the wheels are lifted off the ground, the robot will not automatically continue drying the mop. The user can press the robot's start button or the base station's start button to resume drying the mop.

  1. Regardless of the cleaning mode (selected area, designated area, whole house, or custom cleaning), if the robot wets the mop when leaving the base station, it will perform a deep clean and dry the mop after the robot returns to the base station.

Q: What is the difference between standard drying and quick drying?

A: The difference between these two drying modes is the duration of drying time. The standard drying mode takes 4.5 hours, while the quick drying mode takes 3 hours. If you live in a dry environment, it is recommended to choose the quick drying mode; on the other hand, the standard drying mode is recommended if you live in a humid environment.

Q: Can mop drying be paused midway, or is it possible to opt out of drying?

A: Drying the mop after a cleaning or mopping session is recommended to prevent odors. If you need to pause the mop-drying process midway, you can toggle the mop-drying option on or off under the "Base Station Settings" in the app.
