There are several possible causes for the Petcare water fountain to stop working.  Please note sometimes it takes a few minutes for the water pump to start pumping water after the water fountain is refilled or plugged in.

If water does not start flowing after 5 minutes, try these troubleshooting tips.

1. Unplug and replug the water fountain into the same outlet.

2. Soak the water pump in water for 5-10 minutes.

After continuous use, biological particles will accumulate on the shaft of the pump in an anhydrous state and stop the pump from working.  These particles can be dissolved after soaking the water pump in water for 5-10 minutes.

3. Lack of regular cleaning may result in the pump becoming clogged with pet hair and food debris.  The pump is suggested to be cleaned once every week to ensure it is functioning properly.  Please refer to How to Clean Your Petcare Water Fountain for detailed instructions on how to properly clean your water fountain.
