How Does Practice Mode Work?
What Happens After Practice Mode?
Q1: Will my security cameras still record in Practice Mode?
Setting up a new home security system can feel overwhelming, but with eufy ExpertSecure’s Practice Mode, you get a 7-day trial period to learn, test, and adjust your system without the risk of false alarms.
What Is Practice Mode?
When you first activate your eufy ExpertSecure System, you’ll enter a 7-day Practice Mode. This gives you time to:
-
Test alarms without emergency dispatch being triggered
-
Familiarize yourself with arming/disarming the system
-
Verify contact settings to ensure monitoring works smoothly
-
Make adjustments before full monitoring begins
Unlike some systems with shorter trial periods, eufy gives you a full week to ensure everything works perfectly for your home.
How Does Practice Mode Work?
-
Alarm Triggers → Test Calls
When you set off an alarm in Practice Mode, your Primary Contact(s) will receive a call from the monitoring center. This helps you:-
Confirm call responsiveness
-
Understand what to expect in a real emergency
-
Adjust settings if needed (e.g., contact order, phone numbers)
-
-
Two Contacts? No Problem
If you have two Primary Contacts, the monitoring center will:-
Call Contact 1 first—if they answer, the call ends there.
-
If Contact 1 doesn’t answer, they’ll immediately call Contact 2.
-
-
No False Alarms, No Stress
The monitoring center will not dispatch emergency services during Practice Mode, so you can freely test sensors, entry delays, and alarms.
What Happens After Practice Mode?
Once your 7-day trial ends and all requirements are met, your system will automatically switch to Full Monitoring Mode, ensuring 24/7 professional protection for your home.
