How to connect RoboVac X8/X8 Hybrid to WiFi (Android)?

*This article is only suitable for X8/X8 Hybrid, if your RoboVac is another WiFi compatible model, please refer to the How to connect RoboVac to WiFi? (For Android)

 

Preparations:

  • Download and install the eufy Clean app on your phone from the Play Store
  • Ensure that the Location Services and Bluetooth on your phone are turned on. 
  • Ensure that your phone is connected to 2.4 Ghz WiFi (eufy RoboVac can connect to 2.4 Ghz WiFi only, and it does not support 5 Ghz WiFi.), and please make sure you know the WiFi password because it will be required during the setup process.
  • Power on the RoboVac X8/X8 Hybrid and ensure that the WiFi light is flashing slowly. If not, please reset the WiFi by holdingand simultaneously for 5 seconds until you hear a voice prompt. 

1. Choose X8: Log in to the eufy Clean app, tap on Add Device -> Robotic Vacuums -> Robovac X8. Please “Allow location service”  if it asks to grant permission to access location. 
2. Enable Bluetooth and location services on your phone. The eufy Clean app requires Bluetooth to set up RoboVac X8/X8 Hybrid, please enable Bluetooth and allow location services when prompted. If you do not allow it when prompted, you will need to go into the app settings and enable it there, or reinstall the app and enable it when prompted. 3.  After enabling Bluetooth and location services, the eufy Clean app will automatically discover RoboVac X8/X8 Hybrid. Tap on the "+" icon, then follow the instructions given by the app.  If it fails, ensure the previous steps were followed correctly and try again. The second image below shows what it will look like if the steps were followed incorrectly.

4. Enter the WiFi password in and wait for it to connect. Please ensure that you enter the correct WiFi password. Please note the password is also case sensitive.
 

5. If it fails to connect, please verify that you have followed the above steps correctly. You may need to reinstall the app or try a different mobile device to initially connect the RoboVac if it continues to fail.

6. After it successfully connects, you can give your X8 a lovely name. Congratulations! You are all set up.
