If you are connecting your eufySecurity devices directly to the WiFi network in your house and devices do not require connecting to a HomeBase, you will need to first connect your mobile device to the same 2.4GHz WiFi network that your security devices will connect to. Please note eufySecurity devices only support 2.4GHz WiFi network, which means you will need to connect your mobile device to your 2.4GHz WiFi network, and then connect your eufySecurity device to the same 2.4GHz WiFi network during the setup process in eufy app.
Note: The eufyCam series and 2K battery doorbell cannot connect directly to a 2.4GHz WiFi network. Other eufySecurity devices, such as eufy SoloCams, eufy IndoorCams, eufy OutdoorCams, eufy Wired doorbells etc, support connecting to a 2.4GHz WiFi network directly.
Step One: Find Your 2.4GHz WiFi Network
Many routers broadcast WiFi networks in both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. In order to set up your eufySecurity devices successfully, please make sure you select the SSID that indicates it is a 2.4 GHz network.
For how to figure out if you have 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz WiFi network, please refer to How to Find Out if You Have 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz WiFi Network.
Step Two: Connect Your Mobile Devices to 2.4GHz WiFi Network
During the setup process, you will need to connect your mobile devices to the 2.4GHz WiFi network that you are going to use to set up your eufySecuirty device. Procedures will vary based on different models of mobile devices.
For Android devices:
1. Unlock your Android device and tap the Settings button.
2. Find Wi-Fi Setting.
3. Enable Wi-Fi or toggle the Wi-Fi button ON.
4. Select a 2.4GHz WiFi you have already decided to use in the previous step.

4. Enter the password for the network. When you are connected to the WiFi network, a blue checkmark will appear.
Troubleshooting
1. If your WiFi network name or SSID doesn’t indicate whether the network is 2.4GHz or 5GHz:
- Try to check the WiFi network via computer. Please refer to How to Find Out if You Have 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz WiFi Network for details.
- Contact your router manufacturer about how to connect your mobile device to 2.4GHz WiFi.
2. If your router has the same WiFi network name for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi bands, your eufySecurity device will automatically connect to the 2.4GHz band.
