Adjust Connectors
The dog training collar has connectors on it. If your dog has long or thick fur, it may be necessary to swap the short connectors for the long connectors. Please also check the tightness of the probes periodically to ensure they do not become loose over time.
Fit Strap
Make sure to turn off the collar before beginning this step to avoid false activation. For proper use, the collar must be adjusted specifically to fit your dog. To make sure the fit is correct, follow these instructions:
1. With your dog standing, center the connectors on your dog’s neck.
2. With your dog still standing, adjust the collar until one finger fits between the connectors and your dog’s neck. Both probes must be touching your dog’s skin for correction to be felt.
Trim Strap
With the collar on your dog, mark the strap at least two inches past the buckle. Remove the collar and cut at the mark, then seal the edge to prevent it from fraying. Please leave extra room on the strap if your dog is young or will grow a thick fur as its winter coat.
