Our battery powered eufy SoloCams work best when mounted in a proper location, preferably free of wireless or other kinds of interference. These instructions are for the following eufy SoloCam models:
- eufy SoloCam E20/E30/E40
- eufy SoloCam L20/L40
- eufy SoloCam S40/S340
Where can I mount my eufy SoloCam?
eufy SoloCams are designed specifically for an outdoor environment. It is recommended that you mount the eufy SoloCam 7-10ft (2-3m) above the ground, with a downward angle of no more than 30°; failure to properly mount the camera will result in the camera not being able to to detect motion, either at all or at the maximum range.
SoloCam E20/E30/E40/L20/L40:
eufySoloCam E20/E30/E40/L20/L40 can be mounted on a wall or ceiling. Select a location where you can get the desired view.
SoloCam S40/S340:
eufySoloCam S40/S340 can be mounted on a wall. Select a location where you can get the desired view. To maximize the solar panel efficiency, select a location where SoloCam S40/S340 can receive more sunlight.
For all SoloCams except the S40/S340, avoid mounting the eufy SoloCam in areas where it will receive direct sunlight in order to maximize the detection capabilities (For the S40/S340, make sure it gets at least 2-3 hours of sunlight a day in the position it will be mounted). Also, avoid mounting the camera so that walls or eaves are directly in the camera’s field of view, as it will impact night vision due to infrared light reflection.
