Where can I mount my eufy Solo OutdoorCam?
eufy Solo OutdoorCams can be either placed on a surface, like a table or shelf, or mounted on a wall.
Place on a surface
eufy Solo OutdoorCams can be placed on a table, shelf, or other surface. Simply select a location and height where your camera can see the optimal view and make sure that your camera’s adapter can reach a power outlet easily. Keep OutdoorCam at least 20cm away from walls or anything that may obstruct the view. Do this to avoid infrared reflection, which may impact night vision performance.
Mount on a wall:
Before you begin
Ensure the area you are going to install the eufy Solo OutdoorCam in has a good WiFi signal and is no higher than 10ft (3m) above the ground. This height will maximize the motion detection range of the camera.
- Drill a pilot hole using a power drill. Install the metallic plate using the provided anchors (optional) and screws. Anchors are needed for walls that are made of brick or concrete. Make sure there is enough space for the charging cable to run through before fully fixing the screws. Tip: There is a 3m adhesive strip provided for those that do not want to drill holes in their wall. Adhere the metallic plate to the adhesive strip after fastening the cable under the metallic plate’s hook.
- Attach the magnetic base to the metallic placate. Attach the OutdoorCam to the magnetic base.
- Rotate the camera to adjust the viewing angle and check using the live stream in the eufy Security app to confirm it is positioned correctly.
