The Solar Panel works with eufy SoloCam security cameras. When placed in direct sunlight, the Solar Panel provides energy to your connected eufy SoloCams. To get the maximum amount of sunlight exposure, install the Solar Panel or on the roof or a wall on the outside of your house.
Keep in mind that weather conditions, dirt and debris, and the actual amount of sunlight your solar panel receives will affect the solar panel efficiency. It is best to position the solar panel south facing (if in the Northern Hemisphere) or north facing (if in the Southern Hemisphere) at a 30° angle. Make sure to keep your Solar Panel and eufy SoloCam within 13ft/fm of each other. Once the Solar Panel is installed, follow the below instructions in order to connect the Solar Panel to your eufy SoloCam.
1. Open SoloCam’s back panel and follow the direction the arrow key indicates. Align the waterproof gasket for SoloCam with the USB port and press it in to attach.
2. Plug the USB connector into the USB port of SoloCam.
3. Screw the mounting bracket for SoloCam into the mounting slot of your camera, and angle the mount to get the desired field of view.
4. Route the extension cable along the solar panel hub to avoid tangling cables.
Note: eufy SoloCam S40, L20, and L40 are not currently compatible with the eufy Solar Panel.
