Which app do I use?

eufySecurity app. You can download it from Google Play or Apple Store.

 

How far can I place the Garage-Control Cam away from my router?

In most user environment scenarios, a router’s 2.4GHz WiFi signal can reach up to 150ft/46m indoors. As long as you are able to receive a strong and stable 2.4GHz signal from your router in the garage, you should be able to place the Garage-Control Cam in your garage without issues.

 

Note: The actual distance between the router and the Garage-Control Cam will vary depending on a number of factors, such as the thickness of the walls, the router’s performance and reliability, and the location of the router.

 

How Many Garage Door Sensors Can Be Paired With eufy Garage-Control Cam?

Please note the number of Garage Door Sensors that eufy Garage-Control Cam can support depends on the model of the Garage-Control Cam.

 

• The Garage-Control Cam model only supports one Garage Door Sensor.
• The Garage-Control Cam Plus model supports up to two Garage Door Sensors.

 

What Types of Garage Doors Can eufy Garage Door Sensor Support?

Please note eufy Garage Door Sensor supports the following types of garage doors.

 

• Sectional garage door.
• Roll-up garage door.
• Tilt-up garage door.

 

Does eufy Garage-Control Cam support 24/7 recording?

Yes. eufy Garage-Control Cam is powered by a wired adapter and it also supports recording videos to a Class 10 micro SD card that is inserted in the camera. However, please note the 24/7 continuous recording function can only be enabled when a compatible micro SD card is inserted in the camera.

Does eufy Garage-Control Cam need eufy Cloud subscription to work?

No. eufy Garage-Control Cam does not require eufy Cloud subscription to save video recordings. Videos recorded by your Garage-Control Cam are saved to the camera’s local storage when using a compatible Class 10 micro SD card.

 

However, eufy Garage-Control Cam does support eufy Cloud backup. If you would like to back up your videos and save them in the cloud, then subscribing to eufy Cloud backup may be a great option for you. Please visit Introducing cloud Backup for detailed information.

 

Note: Please note eufy Garage-Control Cam does not support third-party cloud backup providers, such as Dropbox, Google Drive, or Microsoft OneDrive.

 

How Long Can eufy Garage-Control Cam Store Video Recordings?

Please note eufy Garage-Control Cam requires a Class-10 micro SD card up to 128GB and it saves video recordings to the micro SD card. If you use a 16GB micro SD card in the camera, it can store 2-month worth of video recordings based on an average of 30 motion detections per day and 60 seconds of video recording each time.

Does eufy Garage-Control Cam support RTSP/NAS? 

Yes. eufy Garage-Control Cam supports using RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) and saving videos to NAS (Network Attached Storage). Please note using NAS requires you to configure proper surveillance software with the RTSP feature.

 

Once you have added your eufy Garage-Control Cam to the eufy Security app, please proceed to camera Settings > General > Storage > NAS(RTSP) to start the process. You can also visit Using NAS Storage Step by Step for detailed instructions. 

 

Which NAS brand does eufy Garage-Control Cam support?

Currently, only the Synology NAS (Network Attached Storage) is a verified NAS that is compatible with eufy Garage-Control Cam. Additionally, please note the RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) feature on eufy Garage-Control Cam only works with NAS that supports the RTSP feature.

 

Does eufy Garage-Control Cam support Apple HomeKit?

No. Currently, eufy Garage-Control Cam does not work with Apple HomeKit.

 

Does eufy Garage-Control Cam support Amazon Alexa or Google Voice Assistant?

Yes. eufy Garage-Control Cam supports both Alexa and Google Voice Assistant. Please refer to the following list of supported devices at the current stage.

 

Note: If you have multiple Garage-Control Cameras, please make sure they are named differently since Alexa and Google Voice Assistant will be unable to distinguish between the cameras that have the same name.

Does eufy Garage-Control Cam support eufy Cloud Service?

No. Currently, eufy Garage-Control Cam does not support saving video recordings to eufy Cloud backup. Please note eufy Garage-Control Cam also does not support third-party cloud backup services, such as Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive.
