Failed to Add eufy Floodlight Cam in eufySecurity App

If your Floodlight Cam 1080P/2K/2 Pro failed to add to the eufySecurity app during the setup process, please follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.

Preparation Before Setting Up Floodlight Camera

1. Floodlight Cam requires a constant power supply of 110V-240V. Plug the power cord/adapter into a wall outlet and confirm the LED indicator light on the Floodlight Cam turns to solid red.

2. Make sure to first set up the Floodlight Cam in the eufySecurity app before it is physically mounted.

3. To avoid scratching the Floodlight Cam and hurting your eyes, please do not peel off the protective film when powering on the camera during the setup process.

Open the eufySecurity App to Add Floodlight Cam

1. When you open the eufySecurity App:

Please make sure you have downloaded the latest version of the eufySecurity app. You can download it via Google Play (Android) or App Store (iOS). eufySecurity app is compatible with Android OS (8.0+) and iOS (11+) phones and tablets. Learn more about eufySecurity App.

2. When you select the device to begin the setup process:

Please make sure you have selected the correct device. You can find the device model information at the bottom of the camera.

For example, when you set up a Floodlight Cam 1080P/2K/E 2K, please select “Floodlight Cam” and not “Floodlight Cam Pro”. Similarly, if you purchased a Floodlight Cam 2 Pro, please select "Floodlight Pro" instead.

3. When you scan the QR code on the Floodlight Cam but it fail to recognize the device, please try the following tips:

  • Scan the QR code in an environment with bright light.
  • Manually input the code.
  • If there is no QR code on the camera, please select “No QR code on the device” and follow the instructions in the app to add the Floodlight Cam.
  • The QR code is generally in the bottom part of the floodlight camera. For Floodlight Cam 2 Pro, please push and hold the button to open the mounting base to find a QR code.

4. When you press the SYNC button on the Floodlight Cam for 2 seconds but fail to hear a beeping sound, please try the following tips:

  • Make sure you have pressed and held the SYNC ROUND DOT button located on top of the Floodlight Cam for at least 2 seconds until you hear a beeping sound.
  • If the Floodlight Cam still does not emit a beeping sound after you have pressed the SYNC button for more than 2 seconds, please check if the power adapter is properly plugged in. Please also try plugging the camera into another wall outlet if necessary.
  • If the LED indicator light stays solid red after its initial beeping sound, it indicates that the Floodlight Cam is still booting up. Please wait approximately 1 minute until the LED indicator light is flashing white. Afterward, please try the pairing process again.

5. When your mobile phone fails to connect to the "FloodlightCam_eufy" network automatically, please follow the tips below:

  • Go to your phone settings to manually connect to WiFi "FloodlightCam_eufy".
  • Return to the eufySecurity app to continue setup.

6. When your Floodlight Cam fails to connect to WiFi, please try the following tips:

  • Floodlight Cam only supports 2.4GHz WiFi with a WPA/WPA2 protocol.
  • Please confirm you have entered the correct WiFi name and password.
  • Some homes may have multiple network devices set up, for example, one of the devices being the ISP-provided Internet gateway/modem and the other device being the router purchased separately. During the setup process, please make sure your phone is connected to the same WiFi network that the Floodlight Cam is going to connect to.
  • Please check if you have configured a firewall or a whitelist on the router. If yes, please add the Floodlight Cam to the router’s firewall or whitelist.
  • Your phone should not be connected to a Guest WiFi network. The LAN port is not dedicated for a set-top box.
  • If the issue persists, please enable HotSpot on your phone and make the Floodlight Camera connect to your hotspot to see if it works: Device Tab>"..." icon> "Gear" icon> Camera Settings>General> Wi-Fi Connection> Change Wi-Fi
