Length and Installation

1. What is the overall length of the device The length of outdoor light E22?

The length of the whole device can be up to 40 meters. 

Of which 30 meters for the light strip. The length of the power supply + controller + adapter is 11.7 meters.

2. On which surfaces are the products suitable for installation? Are there any special requirements?

E22 supports the installation of relatively flat surfaces, such as glass, concrete, wood, metal and other materials. You need to make sure the surface is not coated, some coatings may affect the adhesion of the adhesive.

3. Can I install it without using wire fasteners and nails for reinforced installation?

If you want the light to be able to use for a long time, we strongly recommend the use of screws for reinforced installation, which can ensure that even if the adhesive backing falls off due to environmental and other force majeure factors, the light strip will not be suspended in mid-air.

4. Do I have to mount the unit under the roof?

E22 can be mounted freely, but make sure that it is mounted on a flat surface so that there is sufficient contact between the surface and the adhesive backing, and make sure that the installation environment is suitable.

5. Can the light strip be spliced in sections?

Yes, light strips can be spliced every 5m.

6. What is the maximum number of segments I can splice?

The length of a segment is 5m, with a maximum of 45m spliced, making a total of 9 segments.

 

Durability

7. Can I just use 3M adhesive for the installation?

The adhesive backing will not come off under ideal installation conditions.

8. What is the ambient temperature at which the equipment can withstand and continue to operate?

The whole unit can work: -20℃ to 45℃ (-4℉ to 113℉ )

The strip light can work: -20℃ to 60℃ (-4℉ to 140℉ )

9. How waterproof is the device?

The light strip and controller itself is IP65 waterproof, meaning you can be exposed to the outdoors on a rainy day.

The power supply is IP67, meaning you can soak it in water. Even if there is a rainstorm, it won't be damaged if you put it on the ground and soak it in water

 

Hardware Related

10. What is the power supply for the unit? What is the voltage and power?

The product is wired for power, and the U.S.-spec power adapter supports 120 volts input voltage, and the UK-EU-AU-spec adapter supports 100 volts.

 Output voltage is 36 volts, 2.0 amps, 72 watts

11. What does RGB+WW mean and is there anything special about dual-LED/dual-mode beads?

RGB+WW redefines holiday lights, RGB can provide enough color for the holiday while white light alone can meet daily lighting needs. At the same time, unlike RGBW, the mixing algorithm of WW can be used to make the brightness of color as bright as white light, and the brightness of color in traditional RGB is lower than that of white light.

12. Are these cfl or LED bulbs?

LED Light.

13. How many feet does this light cover?

When you install the E22 under the eaves, you can cover the entire wall at night, about 6m-8m away at maximum brightness.

14. How long do the bulbs in LED lights last?

It can be used for 55,000 hours.

15. How many point light sources are in the set?

30m with 60 light beads, 15m with 30 light beads.

16. What is the color temperature of a white light?

2700K~6500K

17. How bright is the light?

Maximum 60lm for white light, 60lm for RGB color mixing.

18. Does the outdoor light E22 support homekit/Alexa/Google Assistant?

2024 Q4 will be supported via firmware update

 

Bluetooth Binding

19. App bluetooth can't search for devices?

a. Bluetooth is not turned on or out of range. 

b. Make sure you press and hold the button for 2 seconds and the unit flashes white 3 times.

c. Light has been added and cannot be added again. Please check if it exists in Main Page > Security > Add Device > Search Device, please delete it first and then try to add it again.

20. Failed to bind a device using Bluetooth?

a. make sure you press and hold the button for 2 seconds and the device flashes white 3 times.

b. Make sure your mobile network is working properly. 

c. Make sure your phone's Bluetooth is turned on and within Bluetooth range.

d. Make sure your device is close to your phone.

 

Wi-Fi network

21. Searching for wifi not available

a. Refresh the list and search for networks again.

b. Click "Other Network" and manually enter the Wi-Fi name and password you want to connect.

c. If you have any questions, please contact our customer service.

22. Wifi connection failed

a. Please make sure the correct password is entered.

b. Please make sure the router is working properly.

c. Please make sure the device controller is within Wi-Fi range of the router.

 

Connection and OTA

23. What should I do if the app says "Device is offline"?

a. Make sure the device is in Wi-Fi/Bluetooth range.

b. Verify that the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connection is working.

c. Try turning the power off and then on again.

24. Why did the firmware upgrade fail on my device?

a. Firmware upgrades are only supported when Wi-Fi connection is supported

b. Make sure the router is working properly.

c. make sure the device controller is within Wi-Fi range of the router.

 

Magic Dice

25. What does the icon next to the magic dice mean? / What does light show mode mean?

AIGC supports: normal mode and light show mode, default normal mode.

Light show mode: When switching to "Light Show" mode, the device light effect will automatically rotate based on the dynamic effects of AIGC dynamic effects library, and its color, speed and brightness will remain unchanged. Frequency: automatically switch to the next animation after the complete cycle of each animation.
