Yes. As the output power exceeds 800W, the grid connection application to the grid operator (VNB) must be submitted by a qualified, certified electrician; end users cannot apply on their own.
During registration, supporting documents compliant with the VDE-AR-N 4105 standards are typically required. Most regional grid operators provide online submission portals via their official websites. We recommend engaging your installer to assist with the technical documentation and submission process.
Please note that in addition to registering with the grid operator, you must also personally register the device in the Core Energy Market Data register (MaStR) of the Federal Network Agency.
