Battery Doorbell Misses Someone Coming To My Door


You may find that your doorbell is missing certain alerts that you want to see. Maybe you are completely missing visitors approaching your house or you want to be alerted if your pet gets out on the front lawn!

Some Suggestions for Solving Missed Detection

1. If you set an Activity Zone, please ensure that the zone you have drawn covers the entire range of interest. Sometimes, customers who set the Activity zones are too small and incomplete. The images below show the correct and incorrect way to draw your Activity Zone.

 

2. You may have your Sensitivity level set too low. Manually increase the sensitivity level and trigger times appropriately.

3. Adjust the doorbell field of vision: If there is a big view of the wall in the doorbell’s field of vision. Please use 15° brackets (two brackets can be stacked).

4. Ensure that you have not set the Sensitivity level to “Human Only”. Setting the level to “All Motions” will increase the likelihood of capturing the events you want to see.

 

If Problem Still Persists

If the issue persists, please contact us via support@eufylife.com and provide us with the following information.

1. A picture to show the activity zone if it is still set up; (if the activity zone is deleted, please send us a video recorded by your doorbell which helps us understand your scenario).

2. The exact time when the doorbell missed some events, such as Mar. 24th 14:43. (The time is within 2-3days when you contact us.)  

3. Upload your App log via Eufy App by selecting the Avatar icon located at the bottom of the app > Settings > Notifications > App Notification > App Logs and Device Logs; If the 'Upload Log' is not visible, please follow: Avatar > Settings > Notifications > App Notification > Tab the "Eufy logo" five times and choose "App log".
 

Note: 
1. Human face is necessary to determine that a person is detected so there is a very high probability of missed detection.  If the person wearing a mask or back facing the camera will affect the AI results and miss the detection. 

2. When the customers check the living stream, the camera cannot detect any motions and you won’t receive any notifications.
